Needless to say he is leaving the practice and can hopefully get better care and follow up at another place. I hope people from this clinic read this review and improve how their practice runs.
Very disappointed with the way care has been managed for my father. I work in healthcare delivery and understand things don't work perfectly sometimes, but there are multiple things.
2. Failure to call in a referral that was ordered for skin cancer. Multiple phone calls to practice with weekly follow up and was still not completed for 6 weeks. This is not an exaggeration.
1. Specialist prescribed a medication. Without consultation and for a minuscule side effect pcp discontinued. Without proper education a patient doesn't understand well. The result was a significant exacerbation of the disease and additional surgery.
4. Challenges of keeping providers, but this is not isolated to this.
3. Failure to follow up on 2 lab studies that resulted in a diagnosis of diabetes for 2 months. This has resulted in a delay in treatment, but has not resulted in adverse effects.
Everyone in this office is outstanding with the patients! The DR's and the staff are super friendly! Every time I have gone to this office, I feel better leaving than when I arrived, and not because I got a clean bill of health, but because everyone in the office just made my day better. I travel 45 miles to this office and it's worth it to know I have great care and the doctors actually care about what's going on with me. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
I'm on my 4th primary care physician in 1 year, every three or four months they leave and I don't find out until I can't get my prescription for things like Insulin, Insulin Syringes, thyroid medication, or anti depressants.
